About Us
Pembrokeshire Alpaca Trekking was established in 2019, and is run by myself Rob. After 30 years of farming cattle, sheep & potatoes, it was felt that the farm needed a slight change in direction to maintain its viability. I wanted to continue farming and remain active and outdoors. We want to offer a great Alpaca experience / walk for the people of Wales, and visitors.
Following extensive research, in 2018 we decided to purchase 10 BAS (British Alpaca Society) registered beautiful alpacas to offer trekking and an overall alpaca experience to visitors of the local area.
Since then, we have grown our herd to over 50 Alpacas! We have a group of 24 males that have been trained to walk with the public. The remaining Alpacas are made up of females and Cria (baby Alpacas). Each year, we breed our female alpaca to grow our herd. Some of the most suited stay on the farm and are added to the trekking herd, some are kept for breeding, and others are halter trained and then sold to other farms across the UK.
I am sure you will love the Alpacas as much as we do. You can see more information on the Alpaca trekking below.
